So... I have a 427 side-oiler (aftermarket block) in my Cobra and the roller on the roller lifter seems to have come apart and jammed in the bore which caused the piston to smack the valve and drove the adjuster through the rocker. It did not bend the pushrod surprisingly and it looks like I might be able to punch the lifter out the bottom end. I will have to cut the link bar and the tab on the lifter though. Anyone else have any experience on this? After this, I'm going to a solid cam, if the bore is okay(ish) can i run a solid lifter in it or do I need to get the lifter bore bushed. I haven't pulled the motor yet cause I'm afraid of what I may find...plus I've been extremely busy at work.

Hello, I am embarking on the assembly of a set of C9AE Ford BOSS 429 heads, I cannot find specifications on these anywhere Is it possible you could archives of information and give me the factory specs for ( Overall length, Outside diameter & Install height ) for the valve guides to fit these heads? Also, do you know if there anyone who is still making roller rockers to fit the stock BOSS heads? Thank you so much for your time Steve Johnson SteamDonkey@aol.com
